Today, I want to cover the top remedies for a UTI. I have an older video on this topic, but I wanted to update it with some new information.

A UTI stands for urinary tract infection. This could be in the lower part, as in a bladder infection, or the upper part, which could be more of a kidney infection.

The most common pathogen involved with a UTI is E.coli. Normally, in our bodies, E.coli isn’t harmful—it’s neutral. But, a change in the environment it lives in can cause it to become pathogenic.

A few things that can lead to E.coli becoming pathogenic:
• High glucose
• High estrogen (pregnancy or ovulation)
• Antibiotics (especially quinoline)
• Intercourse (cross contamination)
• Low estrogen (decreased vaginal flora)
• Catheters
