Season 6 will premiere on May 19.

Netflix finally confirmed Season 6 will be available to stream on May 19, 2023. Before season 5 even debuted, the streaming platform confirmed that the mega-hit reality show was renewed for a for a sixth season, but only just released the date.

Netflix also confirmed that a seventh season was coming soon, too. There will be no shortage of Selling Sunset content for a while.

Will Christine Quinn return?

After being accused of bribing a client not to work with fellow cast member Emma Hernan at the end of season 5, Christine’s future at the brokerage seemed to be in question. Now, US Weekly has confirmed that Christine has left the show after five seasons.

She also hinted at her departure in July. “Hulu, give me a call,” she jokingly told The New York Times.

Before the news broke, it sounded like there would be some sort of arrangement where Christine and the rest of her castmates could co-exist even if she wasn’t working at the brokerage. But in April, Christine announced that she and her husband were starting a new company called RealOpen, which specializes in cryptocurrency real estate transactions: “Why work for someone else when you can be your own CEO?” she wrote in the caption.

In May, she told US Weekly that she was in a “really good place” with Jason Oppenheim since her departure from the firm and even hinted at a potential plot for the next season. “The show is, like, my No. 1 [and] everyone knows that,” said Christine. “But we just have to get creative now because I don’t work for the Oppenheim Group… Maybe it’s a battle of the brokerages.”

There’s no telling what caused the change of heart or where Christine and Jason stand now that she won’t be on the show, but it looks like those previous plans have gone down the drain.

And in case you were wondering whether or not she was fired, a source told Us Weekly that she left the firm on her own terms. “It was Christine’s decision to leave the Oppenheim Group,” they explained.

Christine has also made claims that the whole situation was scripted. “Bless their hearts for trying [to make the bribery storyline a big deal],” she told US. “But no, that absolutely did not happen…I watched the show and I was shocked. I was completely shocked.”

In the teaser trailer for Season 6, Mary Fitzgerald doesn’t seem too upset about Christine’s departure from the show. “I don’t think I’ll miss Christine,” she says. “So it’s probably for the best that she’s gone, but I am nervous about the new dynamic.”

Who will be coming back for season 6?

It seems that show regulars Chrishell Stause, Mary Fitzgerald, Heather Rae El Moussa, Amanza Smith, and Brett and Jason Oppenheim will be back.

According to PEOPLE, Davina Potraz will also be there (despite not being featured in the trailer), along with semi-newbie Emma Hernan. Chelsea Lazkani also seems like she’s become a season regular for Season 6, based on the teaser trailer.

There are a few new faces on the Sunset Strip.

There are two new women coming to the Oppenheim group: Nicole Young and Bre Tiesi. According to PEOPLE, the women have signed on to join Selling Sunset for Season 6 and Season 7.

Nicole has worked for the Oppenheim group for over 10 years, and was reportedly supposed to join the Selling Sunset cast during Season 1, but ended up backing out. “I just got cold feet right before they were going to start filming,” the real estate agent told PEOPLE. I just wasn’t ready to expose my entire life, and even more so, my clients and business—which I’m very protective of—to the entire world.”

Nicole bragged about her $100 million in sales during the teaser trailer, so it seems she’ll mean business on the upcoming season.

Bre, on the other hand, may be getting the villain treatment. The model and real estate agent says she’s here to “f— this s— up.” TBH, I’m excited to see how she fits in with the cast.

Bre also has a young son, Legendary Love, who she had with Nick Cannon. While Bre says she’ll “give whatever she gets” from her fellow cast members in the trailer, she recently told PEOPLE that she’s excited to bond with the other new moms in the cast.

“I think it’ll be really helpful to have other women going through the same thing or about to, so I think that’ll be a great little bonding thing for us. Because it’s definitely a whole different hood, motherhood,” she told PEOPLE.

Chrishell’s new boo G Flip could possibly make an appearance.

While Chrishell has been incredibly open about her personal life on-screen, it’s still unclear whether her partner G Flip, the Australian musician, will appear on season 6.

The team still needs to discuss what cast members are willing to publicly share with viewers. “We haven’t met with Chrishell about it yet,” creator Adam DiVello shared with E! News. “I hope we do get to see G Flip.”

Heather is a new mom.

Yup, that’s right. Heather Rae El Moussa, 35, gave birth to a baby boy in January 2023, she shared on Instagram.

She first alerted her followers that she was pregnant in July, but it seems like this upcoming season of Selling Sunset will follow her pregnancy journey, since filming began last summer. In the teaser trailer, Heather’s baby bump is noticeably visible, and she says “I’m gonna be a rock star mommy and also a rock star businesswoman.”

Who isn’t coming back?

Maya Vander, who has been on the show since the very beginning, announced that she will not be returning to the screen this season. (People saw it coming, and she told Women’s Health this could be the case right after season 5 aired).

She said in an Instagram story that she “decided not to go on with the show and it was not an easy decision!” But she is still “very proud of [her] Selling Sunset family for getting two more seasons and hopefully Emmy nomination.”

Maya posted her update on her Instagram story.

Maya moved to Miami to be with her husband and two children. Prior to her move, she was doing a lot of cross-country flights.

Maya also pointed to the fact that she hasn’t had as much air time during the past few seasons. “I would love to be a part of the show, but it’s less than ideal for me to put in all this effort and then you see the finished product and I’m barely in it,” she told WH. “I sacrifice a lot, but I get it. The audience wants to see more drama vs. ‘here’s Maya selling a house.’”

One of the newer additions to The Oppenheim Group, Vanessa Villela, who made her debut during season 4, also moved to London with her now-fianceé, Nick Hardy, so she may also be calling it quits on the Sunset Strip. And as of June 27, a source told People she still hasn’t signed a Netflix contract for seasons 6 and 7. She also was not in the Season 6 trailer, so it doesn’t look like she will be featured in the upcoming seasons.

So, what do we know about season 6 so far?

WH knows a lot has changed since filming concluded—the end of some relationships and the beginning of others, more feuds, an exciting pregnancy announcement for the El Moussa’s…I could go on.

Chrishell’s new relationship with G Flip and her interactions with her ex, Jason, could play into season 6. But will Bre bring the heat this season? Who knows. At this point, it’s anyone’s guess! In the meantime, catch up on all things Selling Sunset on Netflix ahead of the May 19 premiere.
