Five things your lips can tell you about your nutritional state:

1. Pale or grey lips
Top potential cause:
• Anemia

Deficiencies that could potentially lead to this problem:
• An iron deficiency
• A vitamin B12 deficiency
• A copper deficiency

Potential causes of these deficiencies:
• A lack of meat in the diet
• A lack of hydrochloric acid
• Consuming a lot of grains
• Heavy periods
• Inflammation in the gut

Foods to consume:
• Red meat
• Liver
• Seafood

2. Blue lips
Top potential causes:
• Exposure to the cold
• Shock
• Cyanide poisoning

A good vitamin for cyanide poisoning:
